Dare to Dream...

Owning a home is known as "the American Dream." Most people you meet will tell you that their dream is to own a home if they don't already, of course. And who can blame them? There are many advantages to owning a home, of which I will write in an upcoming post.

It's no mystery that owning land and property (a home) on that land inspires most Americans. Everything on earth sits on earth. We build on it. We walk on it. We eat from it. I think it's been instilled in us to want part of what is already a big part of us; God created man from dirt.
Though commonly noted, the American dream seems to be almost impossible in some areas of the country. For instance, I lived in Brooklyn, New York most of my life. Only one family we knew owned their home. It wasn't even mentioned among the others. Obviously, not many of us could afford a house/home. Not many could dream that dream.
It's great that most of the people I know now own their homes. A lot of them also come from big cities, where their families never owned their houses. Needless to say, we share a feeling of pride not easily negotiated.
So, with those simple words, I encourage you; dare to dream the American Dream!
Until next post!
